As we approach Thanksgiving Weekend, thoughts of recipes, invitations and travel arrangements to name a few dance in our heads. Gathering loved ones around for a toast to good food, friendship and family is like a warm blanket on a cold winters night. I have to admit, my favorite part of Thanksgiving Dinners are the conversations made around the table and the pumpkin pie!

Crisp leaves fall and tumble through the October breeze, and whistle around pumpkins placed on porches.  A door opens to the cinnamon smell of apples and turkey stuffing. Inside is a plate waiting just for you. A satisfied tummy is one of the most important gifts we often overlook. Give thanks this holiday season for the bountiful meal you are so lucky to enjoy….

Giving Thanks is the most fulfilling of joys . As you’re preparing for the holiday bring all your thoughts of gratitude to the table and share in the blessings that surround you. Regardless of your circumstances , there will always be one thing to be thankful for.

Blessings are everywhere we look,

To be a friend with good health and a home. To be employed with purpose and passion. To have children to love or pets as your companions. To wake with a warm blanket and hot coffee to greet your day. A hug or a kiss from someone who loves you. The wind in your hair to feel nature. The smell of cedar wood burning in a fireplace that warms your heart. To hear the laughter of a child. To hold a newborn baby or to taste the sweetness of a raspberry.  Although these small but significant circumstances happen to us, we often live in auto pilot without being mindful of every moment.  A Good Life Rule to keep is to give thanks everyday, but celebrate the year of blessings on your Thanksgiving Day.
