Fry the sausage and beef and onion until browned. Add the spices and garlic and sugar. Mix well and add the crushed tomatoes and the paste. Simmer while you grate the cheese.
Mix egg well with the Ricotta/and or Cottage Cheese with spinach. Set Aside
Layer 9 x 13 Glass Casserole Dish with 1/3 of Meat Mixture. Layer Noodles over. Layer some mozzarella/parmesan cheese . Spread the Ricotta Cheese Mixture over. Layer Noodles/ Meat Mixture/ Mozzarella/Parmesan Cheese. If you have room, do another layer.
Spray tin foil with non-stick olive oil and layer over casserole dish. Bake at 375 F for 25 minutes with foil on. Bake an additional 25 minutes without foil. Let Lasagna sit for 10 mintues before you serve. Add Garlic Toast as a side.
